Is it pay to play? then no. I'm not protesting a moral objection to pay-to-play, I just don't like the thought of ending up paying a lot of money over time, when I can get a good game for $40 once and not worry about the price again. Borderlands sounds like fun, but I'm not really into MMO's at all, so...

i read its quite soloable, and scales with more players in a party. that said, i hope its not too easy and fun by my lonesome. i dont think its pay to play...it doesn't mention it on Steam, anyways.

just looked on steam, and its gonna be another week to release? game looks sweet though. the skill tree worries me, however.

The loot whore in me wants it,... badly. But, it just seems to be a fragfest with nifty weapons as you go along. No armor or real sense of loot goodness other than the weapons.

I somehow get the feeling of Fallout 3 / Shadowrun when I look at this game,... and I don't like it.

was reading about reviews, and it seems like the fetch-quest system and small skill trees are hampering reviews.

It's not even an MMO... It's essentially Fallout 3 with multiplayer.

RPG's don't interest me either.
I know, blasphemy. Like I said, it sounds fun but not fun enough to pay monthly for.

Sorry if I didn't make it clear, but when I said it wasn't an MMO, I meant you don't have to pay monthly either

I've been playing it at my co-worker's house. He's got a modded 360 and it's already been out on newsgruops for awhile now.

It's kinda like Fallout 3, but only with a sense of humor and it doesn't take itself seriously. It's pretty fun.

Console versions are out.

I preorderd the PC version off of steam with the 4 pack and sold the other three to friends for $40 each. Makes my copy come out to about $20. That's a good deal if you ask me.

Loud & clear - but, can I pay less of a monthly fee if I sign up for 6 months in advance?

It has no paid component. Once you own the game, it is yours. How dense are peoples skulls on this forum?

If I was to trade my account mid billing cycle, with my friend, will I get a credit for the remainder of the month? And, can my friend just pay a portion of the monthly fee??

I asked you nicely in PM but since you didn't take the hint you can sit out for a few days.

In case anyone was wondering this was a pretty standard troll. Please ignore the seemingly outstanding level of ignorance.

I'm trying to get a group-buy with a few of my friends on this game (I'd buy 4 licenses, they'd compensate me the $34 and I'd gift them the licenses via Steam). There are so many people humming an hawing over it :P ... only one "Yes" out of the 6 people I've asked.

Although some of my friends I'd almost consider former gamers now that they have families and computers with lagging technology.

It looks interesting, and for $34 I'd try it for a while.
