I let a small problem get out of hand. I have a 160 gig backup drive that ran out of room. I tacked on a couple of extra external drives over a couple of years to fill in with different backup software that would lap the drives. Now I am in the day of reckoning to fix the mess, and need to do so.

I built a Windows Home Server PC to start a resolve to this issue. Started with the trial on a small drive to see if I would like it and I did. Then I put in a 1TB drive to install legal with product code and quickly realized that was not enough and got another 1 TB drive. Now I have plenty of storage and a few problems. WHS knows about all those duplicate files, and lets me know about it....However can't find a utility in WHS to help me fix the problem.

Is there a clean utility without spyware or any other suggestion I can use to get rid of all those dupe files to get me going on my WHS?

I think Easy Duplicate Finder will do what you want. It is compatible with Windows Server 2003, so maybe it is compatible with WHS.

Worst that will happen is it won't be compatible, give it a shot.

Thanks, hackman, will give it a shot....already pulled the files off of the server, so it only needs to work with xp or vista....then I can put the remainder back.
