I'd like to have certain processes and services load before others. Ideally, what I'm looking to do is have NIS 2009 load first followed by my ethernet drivers.

Those two always load last and it's annoying, so I need to change the order around.

Thanks.

You could always set a bunch of "Automatically Start" services to "Automatically Start (Delayed)" if you're on Vista, if it doesn't screw up the system first.

Then have the ones you want loaded later listed with "Dependencies". They won't load then until the Dependents are met.

Likewise, if you need something loaded dead last: Run BootVis, find the last service to load, then attach that to the dependencies.

Messenger use to be the last to load, but is now disabled and shouldn't ever be ran. Not sure what's the last to load before that one.

I wanted something a bit more "automated" but I'll look into BootVis. Thanks.
