The length of a 8800GTX pcb is actualy 270mm's, not 280mm's, the extra 10 is from the bracket, you know the part that actualy is at the 90% angle on it. kinda like an upside down L.

I want this istar nitro ax s-1000 case, but only if I can fit the 8800gtx card in it. I may want to sli them later down the road too. I would appreciate it if you could determine if it will fit, thanks.

Thanks NukeULater, you saved me from making the mistake of buying the istar case. You are a great help with all this info. :)

I think they had to make the 8800gtx so long because of the extra memory modules...I may be wrong.

I bought the Gigabyte 3d Aurora 570. :D Glad you had that one posted as fitting the 8800gtx. I think I found the best case for the price.

I'm pretty sure the Silverstone LC18 will not house the card(s) without some dremeling. I just need to know how much. I plan on filling up all the pci slots with video cards, a sound card, and atsc tuner cards. I only plan on installing one seagate 750 barracuda.

Here's the link.

Thanks.

OK, since noone replied to my findings, I'll post them here. the 8800GTX does NOT fint in the Antec SOLO/P150. DOES NOT. Maybe if it was 5cm longer, but it's not. Pisses me off, now I have to get a 8800GTS.

That's not the 570 you've posted a link to, but the "regular" Aurora.

Hi, see if it can fit in a Lian Li PC-101 Series Pretty sure it will.

Thermaltake Xaser III Series V1000C Blue Series

and Chieftec - Dragon Series think it'll fit if one of the removable chambers has been taken out.
