Here's a tip for folders with multiple clients to configure or anyone resetting their username:

You may already know this, but you can do a name search with wildcards at the EOC site.

For example, type <max*mon*> in the box and hit search.

The results will include any user that begins "max" followed by any combination of characters, followed by "mon" and again followed by any combination of characters. (screenshot shows many variations of maximum_monkey along with some other names that fit the search)

Unfortunately, this will only show incorrect usernames after they have turned in a WU, but if you do this early on after making a change you can avoid loss of too many points.

Great tip!

I've always just looked at the new users list under Team User Info on the team page (its right next to the top 20 producers if you haven't seen it before).

Great info. I just added to the Thread of All Threads thread since it could be very useful information for someone new to the team (old members as well).

Also, use HFM.NET to monitor all your clients. Enter your username in the configuration, and HFM will warn you if any of your monitored clients are using a different username than the one you put in.

I've done it a couple times. I don't think I've ever failed to catch it before it finished a WU though.

Hahaha, I'm a terrible typist, so I'm always afraid I'll mess it up and points will be going to thw wrong place... so whenever I do anything with the client, I always end up checking it like 4 times to make sure its right :P The CC nearly gave me a heart attack cause I couldn't think of how to check that my points were REALLY going to the right username, cause there was too many WU's going through! :P

That's a great tip, too, as long as you haven't configured an already existing username that won't show up as new (see <maximun_monkey> in the results screenshot, already has 178k points)

Not sure it will quiet your demons  , but you can also check stats by passkey on the Stanford website.

Not so helpful if you're using multiple passkeys. And the same thing applies, you don't find out until WUs are turned in. :(

Yep, I figured that out pretty quick... but I still worry about it constantly until I see the points rolling in for some time :P
