Sorry it took me so long to reply, i have been trying all options. I tried enabling IO Apic was turned on but that alone did not help. So I want into my BIOS and found the setting labeled "Virtualization." Once I turned that on it installed, but I had a little bit of trobule so I went ahead and turned on the IO Apic coption, now located under the "System" tab. Everything looks OK, for now.
I do want to start a new thread and cluster the forum so I am going to see if you guys can help. I am thinking about using Samba to manage my network for several Win based PCs. But, I am wondering what is the limit on how many accounts can be setup on the systems. I can't find that answer.
Also, I am building my first server for myself and a group of friends to use as a media file sharing computer. The server, as of now, is not going to be running any applications, but that may change in the future. The types of files that we will have on the server are avi, mp3, jpg, etc. I am very familiar with computers, I have built and worked on many PCs, but I am not a server person. I help maintain the server at my work, Windows based OS.
Someone told me to just use Ubuntu 64 bit with Samba running and that should be good enough, any thoughts?
Also, thanks for all the help.
P.S. Here is my computer that i set up Virtual Box on, it is not the server, but several people were wondering what type of PC I was using.
