 yes you guessed it, im making a Left 4 Dead based case mod, using a HAF 932 case. ive allready started on it and will post pics up when i get home from work. all i really need are some ideas for painting this bad boy. and for possible extra addons. like lighting, i got the fans on order with red leds. but i was wondering if i should use any kind of UV lighting, it seems to me that it would offset the red and black theme, unless i can hide the light but still have the eerie red glow coming off my water cooling tubes :D

Green UV lights and green LED fans in the HAF would look pretty sick ;)

Dump those red fans for green ones, I think that would be much better.

That would be more then a pain in the ass to solder and to find the right LEDs.

If you are going to paint the case green(ish) to match the L4D color, then I would definitely stick with Red LEDs and lighting on the fans and interior. But thats just my opinion, YMMV.

Maybe you could also pick up one of those "wigglin novelty hands" like this one... http://cgi.ebay.com/WIGGLIN-HAND-NOVELTY-GAG-GREAT-FOR-HALOWEEN_W0QQitemZ140331231239QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item20ac64a807... and with a bit of artistry make it look like the L4D hand and with a bit of ingenuity wire it to run on the PSU instead of batteries.[/url]

if the hand runs off 3.3, 5 or 12 volts, it'd be a sinch to wire it into your computer.

And Defiant, it wont be that hard to replace those LED's, unless they're completely embedded in the fan. If i recall correctly, one of the older MaxPC mags had an article on how to replace LED's.

wow, thanx for all the input. im going for red green and black. i need to get some really dark blood red spray paint. i dont want to mix any cause i dont have the equipment availiable to spray mixed paint. im also gonna shoot for a dark neon green thats uv reactive. i need to find someone around here that has a sandblaster so i can get all the black paint out of the inside of my case. its kind of hard to get certain things here in germany being in the army. not allowed to have certain things in the Barracks. they were about to tell me to get rid of two of my comps. but i fought it out with a lawyer and they ruled in my favor because the german circut breakers are rated for up to 5000W each and i dont even have that much running in my entire room. they said it was a fire hazzard. lol. considering i allready had an incident with a bad PSU

keep the input coming.

oh and that hand would totaly me like a cup holder or something. :D
