I just received a letter from financial aid, stating that i will not be receiving federal aid for the 2009-2019 year. I will have to drop out of college because i can't afford it.

Okay, there are a couple of things you need to do.

1. Call your school immediately! Tell them what is going on. You need to call your Financial Aid office.

2. Are you getting loans or is this free money (scholarships, grants, etc)? If loans, call the bank where you attend school.

3. You did fill out the FAFSA correct?

4. Did they give a reason why you will not receive financial aid?

5. Have you considered work-study?

Yeah, with the economy the way it is, I'm not surprised. Definitely contact the Financial Aid office ASAP. If you got the letter, undoubtably others have. If there are any other solutions/resources, it will probably be first come first serve, so move it or lose it.

this does not seem right at all. unless your estimated parents help is so so much. Which i dont see that happening if your filling out the fafsa anyway. I think parents estimated help on the fafsa is bogus, because my parents didnt help at all. I am not mad they didnt help, i wanna do this on my own and without loans :/

Also with the new "bailouts" Financial Aid was suppose to get a huge rise in funding, so they could reach out to more students and give more also. But who actually knows what they are doing with the "bailouts." The money just goes to the big wigs and every time the govt issues more it just drives us further down into the hole with China. We are getting all our bailout money from china, so pretty much china owns us and if they wanted to, they could just take us over pretty easily.

Look in Wal-Mart. They already did.
