never claimed you didnt

claimed I DIDNT have the particulars of a contest that has yet to be formally announced this year, and couldnt be expected to know them when it aint happened yet!

I shall now go forth an purchase some more folding power to formally enter said contest when/if it starts so that I shall still win nothing as usual! jritt wins most of them from the look of it lol

I was at BJs today returning a mistake purchase.

One of the women was replacing the cash drawer and it had a banana in one of the paper money slots.

I said something stupid about paying in bananas.
Somebodies avatar made me think of that.

I make a fool of myself walking around BJs.
Waving to all the little kids.
Talking to customers.

Two guys in camouflage outfits were pushing two carts overloaded with what looked like a big picnic was in the making.

I had to say it looks like your planning to feed an army.

They both laughed and said they were.

I'm getting radiation right now.
I asked the machine operator if it ever broke down.
He said don't even think about such a question.
It's just a big computer, so sure it does once in a while.

I told him I used to work in a large Data Center.
One Sunday an IBM CE came in for a problem.
He wanted to get to the IBM picnic.

I told him the problem and he walked over to the side of the IBM 360/50 and gave it a swift kick.

He said that will work till tomorrow and I'll fix it right during maintenance tomorrow..

This is the scary part.

I'm on my way to the radiation place and they call and said the machine is having problems don't come in, we will call you.

So we go to BJs, like I said above.

Barely in the door and I run into the very same retired IBM CE that kicked the machine to fix it.
He is well into his 80s by now.

I came home to find the Intel I7-940 sitting at the door.

More on that in a few minutes.

Fun baseball game to finish watching.

.....retired from IBM and now private contracting to medical facilities to do repair work. :lol:
