Wow. So some of you are rather serious about this, eh? What kind of rules and regulations are we talking about here? I think we need to talk about this to keep things fair on both sides.

Monkeys have been around here from day one, and the collective has been strong since that point. I think you should consider making a serious collective that will stick together and be around for a while. Monkey stomping can be fun, but it can also lead to serious poo-flinging and mass PPD uprisings from us primates.

What are your thoughts about this? Are you guys just doing this to give us a run for our money or are you going to stick together for a while and have some fun?

EDIT: Also, with it being this close to the Chimp Challenge, I would suggest that you get your collective together, but the actual gauntlet not start until after the race. CC is serious biz, for those not in the know. I has alerted my monkey brethren to this thread, so be prepared for some awesome poo flinging and points production to come in the future. Also, to keep this thread from getting polluted, I suggest that the leader of your new collective start a new thread in this section, so we can plan, banter, and fling poo there.

Hmm, I'm mixed.

I like joining temporary collectives, as part of an event or challenge, but I don't know if I would commit 100% from here on out. I've actually been thinking lately how there's a nice little bubble of us forum members in the 3 million camp, all around 20~30k per day (Ghostmachine, Tommystarman, Newbie1Kenobi, bbies1973, myself, amongst others), that could form a nice little collective. But at the same time, I'd hate to lose the personal satisfaction of seeing my own username climb through the ranks. I'd also lose the ability to track my farm's specific PPD, and the precise effects each new client brings.

If some kind of temporary race against the monkeys is decided, I'd definitely be in, but if we're talking a long-term collective, I'd have to give it a lot of thought.

That's fine too, I was just curious as to where you all were coming from. If it's just going to be a temp collective, I think we should impose a limit to members to keep it a fair race, and keep our PPD somewhat equal to make it interesting. Although with Puffy's credit card, this could turn ugly really quick!

Anyways, choose a leader, start a new thread, and let's get this ball rolling! I would suggest also that you post a sign up thread here to see who may be interested in joining this battle with you. That's a good place to start.

i got ticked off at the underclockers the other day and started ordering more stuff.... (think gtx295's .... lots of them) and my card melted.... just waiting on a new one.....
