Way down the road, Brain. Can't let him beat me - at anything - even with a year's head start.
I wonder if someone running a lab at UCR or UCI can be bought off for cheap.....
and if I get rid of the couch, I could setup a cluster there and....
where did I put that stupid 110mhz Cyrix at!

when are u going to catch me though?

/me adds toidiochysp to the list.... you're about the same as niterider. It's going to take me a couple of weeks to get to 500. After I get there, I'll have a better idea of how long it will take to get catch the two of you.

how many comps do u have folding? i have a 3200+ 2500+ 1600+ and a Dual P2 300, soon to add a celly 500

Four, right now. 2 P4's @ 2.8, 1 XP @ 2600, 1 P2 or P3 at ??? (hasn't finished a wu yet though). I'm going to look into recruiting some more cpu's later today. It seems like anything slower than a 1.5ghz processor is only going to finish 1 regular wu or 2 small wu's per week.

Yeah, you're way down the list. But I've got some mad computing power at my disposal if I can just get the go ahead (or find the master key!).

Just recruited 15 or so P3's @ 1ghz (w/ sse). I'm not sure if I'll get credit for any of them though. I had to unplug them from the network after getting the wu. Every night, all of the pc's in the lab reboot into linux and a clean install of windows is done and then restarted.

I might end up having to take a floppy disk to each of them, copy the finished wu, take it back down to my pc and send it in from here or something.

You will quickly climb the ranks untill you hit about the 400's. Then you will notice that it takes more time to climb. Mostly because there you start running into others that are still currently folding.

I flew up the list at first, now I'm still climbing, but I'm not making big jumps at I was before.

Patience.

Ok, finally was able to do some math and post a score.
Last update gave me a whopping 259pts! It was crunching it all since July05 at 11:06am, so I'm supposing it was a good one.

I normally get one or two WU's per day. It's rare when I get 3 done, but it's happened a time or two. They don't help my score though. I'd rather have these big ones! I jumped up about 20 or 30 places!

...and then there was this short 5 hour WU. It grabbed it right after it reported that big WU, then spit it back out for a quick 63 points :)

My lab experiment didn't work. I might have to write my own software to fool the reboot and reload windows cycle which has some advantedges, or I could resort to stealing pc's. All this just to feed my FAH addiction. :)

I just checked Extremeoverclocking.com's folding stats.

Keep it up Gadget and you'll overtake me in about 4 or 5 months....

I look over at two PC's that SHOULD be crunching numbers:p I need to get on the ball! I've moved recently and they haven't found a home or have become part of my network yet.

Pthhh...Gadget just ran by me so fast today I didn't even see it. With +266 point jumps, ya should run right up to the pack.

That's it, I'm installing this on every PC I can get my dirty mitts on:p
-----------------------
Edit: only got one more PC to run it on today. I couldn't talk him in to leaving his PC on all night, but at least he's running it!

Oh, and if anyone was thinking of going to a PC outlet and installing it on them...I couldn't get it set up right. I tried it at various stores and I just couldn't get it to report to the main server to get a WU. They must be on an intranet or something a bit more difficult to do than my couple minutes could alot me. I wish I could upload a chunk of WU's and go and get them every week:D

Tomarrow's another day...

LOL... I haven't caught you... yet... ;)
Chumly409 will fall soon though!

I've been on vacation since last Thursday. Forgot to turn off my alarm, so they flipped the outside breaker (or something else), which turned off my alarm and one of the computers - I should sue the bastards. One of the P4's must have done an automatic windows update some time over the weekend. Damn.

Anyways, I've finally broke into the 700's.

Forgot.... I downloaded a couple of linux distros - Knoppix cluster and some others. I am hoping to turn a few p3's into a very fast machine. I would like to have 6ghz applied to 1 wu instead of 1ghz to 6 wu's. We shall see.

Today I shall break 1000pts!

Yup, I finshed two 400 frame Tinkers, one in Windows and the other in Linux, that got me another 478 pts! I also finished another small job. I've got one more job to do before I break the 1000pt mark. I only need 4pts to do it. Then, in a few more days I will break the 1000 rank mark, :)
