I only have one request at the moment:

1. Photo tagging and editing software

I've been a happy user of Adobe Photoshop Album for a while, but it's no longer sold. I don't want to put my pictures online. I mentioned this in a previous "XXXX Month Feedback Thread" but one of your staff members, Katherine S., went through the process of updating her pictures a whille back. I requested more information and would still like to know what software there is out there for tagging and organizing photos, and how they compare with regards to price, features, and ease of use.

Thanks.

Matt

Just one request for me =)

1) Linksys WRT610N - It's an updated version of the WRT600N that you guys liked a lot, and costs cheaper than it. Supposedly, it should be better with improved technology, but consumer reviews haven't been as favorable... I'd like to see some benchmarks!

Asus Rampage Extreme X48
It looks like it could be the best of the X48 chipset. Curious to see how it compares to the Striker II extreme.
And on the Best of the Best, do you think it would be possible to split the LGA 775 boards into two categories: nForce and Intel (X38/48)

I second this. Benchmarks would be nice because im not sure how it compares to the 600N because the antennas are internal.

I as well as many others would love for you to revisit the state of multi-monitor gaming. The state of which has become a tragedy so much so that multiplemonitors.org is touting the release of Unreal Tournament 2003. I am certain that with the price of 19" flats hovering around $120 the majority of us are already running 2 most likely 3 monitors. There can be no argument that the popular genres of PC gaming i.e. FPS, RTS, and RPG's can do nothing but benefit from this. What can we do to push these gaming companies to give us games that will immerse us in the action. Its time for the games to catch up with the hardware. And please dont tout the virtues of Flight Simulator.

Thank you.

Boot was cool,

How do you get more than a paragraph out of 'multiple monitors would be cool, eh?'

Actually, there is a great thread in the forum about this very talk. More about the technology than the games, but that is most interesting anyway. ;)

I would like to see:

1. a X58 mobo shootout.

2. reviews for 1366 socket coolers - namely The CoolIt Domino A.L.C. and the Zalman CNPS9900 LED.

3. power supply reviews for the Antec Signature 850 andthe Corsair HX1000W (how much juice do I REALLY need for multiple video cards?)

and anything cool that comes out at CES!

I would like to see MPC do a review of Edifer's S750 gaming speakers, as well as compare them to the Logitech Z-5500....

Edifer is in the process of getting their speakers THX certifed, I think this may be only for their 5.1 speakers, however I am not sure of that.

Last year was 2 months ago. They're not evolving quicker than that bud.

When aged Klipsch are THX certified already?

It's just a Lucas cert and doesn't mean all that much. Klipsch had a shoe-in from being in the theaters already. When Edifer gets it, let us know. But many are shot down if they don't start with "K".

And to compare any THX to the 5500? Silly. One is a computer speaker, one is a theater quality system. See all those logitechs in home theaters? Me neither. Their quality of sound sucks...badly. They work in computer rooms though!

But really...Polk, Yamaha, Klipsch, and nameless others that make great speakers; why compare to ho-hum? Or 2.0 studios for that matter and their finite range. You're asking MPC to become audiophiles, and that ain't going to happen when they say an X-Fi from a gamer is better than a budget Xonar aimed at actual sound. They'll beat the hell out of anything without EAX...hardware level or not.

So leave it to them, if it's not EAX, it's crap to them. THX? Doesn't matter because they don't test for sound quality...they test them on cost and frames per second...and sells pitches.

The Logitech Z-5500 is THX certified & has a built-in DTS decoder... sure they don't sound as good as a custom $2500+ system, but they do sound better in my home theater (when using the Digital Optical audio input) than any of those "Home Theater in a Box" setups that can cost 4 to 5 times as much.

I was hoping that MaxPC could do another USB thumb drive round-up. One dealing with the larger USB drives that are out now (16-32GB).

I really liked the fact that they tested the small file write time in the last round-up since that is a big problem with a few that I've used.
