whenever i try and go higher, i BSOD, or my motherboard disables the overclock, which is what just happened....


My 6550 is at 3.4 :lol:

got a 105% overclock on the stock cooler on a clients computer. he wanted maximum overclocking so i guess he got it!

im sure it could have gotten higher, its only set at 1.3 volts due to the heat and runs at ok 3.4 but has some errors in prime 95. I wish i had a better heatsink!

Too bad I didn't keep all those screenshots when I was doing phase cooling....thee days I'm just happy to be able to gt my Core i7 CPUs past 4ghz with air cooling...next project will be with DFI X58 UT mobo, DDR3-2000 memory and a D0 Xenon CPU...goal- 4.5ghz on air.
