I thought this would be a no-brainer, especially since I've been working with computers for nearly 6 years straight now.
Shortly after I bought a new cell phone, I bought a 4Gb MicroSD card to go with it. It came with a MicroSD to SD adapter. I plugged it into my girlfriends computer and it wouldn't recognize it. It gave a I/O error, seemed to freeze for a second, and then the system returned to it's normal state. I tried rebooting, but the computer took nearly 10 minutes to reboot, only to freeze right before the Windows XP login screen.
I thought it was just my lady's computer acting up. So I found a MicroSD to USB adapter in my box-O-computer stuff, and used that to try it on my machine. I got the same error from my PC and I know my rig doesn't have any problems. The weird thing is, I know the card is fine because I can load a program on the card using my phone's USB sync cable, but I can't actually load any files, PDFs or MP3s... and it's starting to piss me off.
Can anyone help me figure this issue out? Thank you for your time.
