for overclocking cooling purpose, which metal is better for cooling?? Aluminum or Copper??

well, copper is better, but if you could combine the 2 into some sort of alloy it would be best. copper can hold more heat than aluminum, but it cant transfer it or release it as fast as aluminum, while aluminum holds less heat but releases and transfers it much faster. if you could have a metal that did both, youd be set.

Copper conducts heat better than aluminum. If I remember right, only silver conducts better (high school was a long time ago though).

Yes, silver is king in heat transfer capabilites. I learned that in materials science class (mostly metals and composits).

Anyway, once the heat is transferred to the HSF, it's best to use a cheaper material to spread the heat over a lager area, thus dissapating the heat, and giving more surface area for cooling. The best common material for this is of course copper. Of course copper is more expensive than aluminum, especially to ship.
