One thing: Hardware Haven has been getting a lot of people who have problems with their rigs.

Whatever happened to that sticky DEA put up there? Maybe someone could put up another sticky that says that the Free Clinic is for people with problems for their rigs, or something in that nature.

I noticed that as of late too. Time for some more friendly reminders when responding - be prepared for accusations of "forum nazi" to be thrown around.

 So it begins. Someone needs to clear out HH for the real questions/discussions though, yeah.

Well, it would be nice to not have so many rate my system threads because they just get plain annoying, but thats probably not going to happen so it looks like its covered.

Yeah - I hate 'em too, but they're more applicable in HH than anywhere else.

...and that'd mean I'd have upgrade to Uber Forum Nazi(tm).

Not that I can tell. You could consider bolding the Free Clinic line as those are the most common offenses, but that's nitpicking (leave some glaring spelling and/or grammatical errors next time). :)

LOL - Just include a Babelfish link at the bottom and that could work

Yeah, I know about that, but it is not easily accessible, nor does it link to the pm button for that person. It also doesn't really tell me who mods what. This place is growing quick, I think it would be smart to have a mod link on the main page, not hidden in FAQ's. I'd hate to have an issue & PM the wrong person.

Mods cover the entire forum - all equal, if I understand you correctly.

Well Canuck, I see you around a lot lately, so you'd be my 1st pm :D

On that Forum Staff link, I'd assume [Ch]amsalot AKA Number Six - is the main Mod (Admin?), but I also see
Quote:
Along with all our behind-the-scenes special staff and site admins, who wish to remain anonymous for fear of guilt by association (go figure!)

so, do we not have all the Mods / Admins listed?

I'm unaware of any Moderator who comes in as hidden, but we have enough [PC] members around at any given time so that someone would be able to contact a moderator in an emergency.

Well if anyone knows who's logging in as hidden, you should. :D I don't doubt you can see that. It really isn't an issue for me any more, but that day I PM'd you about that one post, I wasn't really sure who to pm. I am blonde after all

Yeah, could be anyone. I'm here pretty much (I don't work) and never see any mods listed as online- that was my point. Mods IMO shouldn't be allowed to log in as hidden, unless of course they come here for a specific post & have to get out asap. At a rose forum that I was an admin at, we weren't allowed to log in as hidden, cause people needed help all of the time.
