Unless somebody knows different, I'm fairly certain the only way to delete your main yahoo email account is to delete your entire Yahoo account alltogether.

Just don't be surprisd if the account doesn't get deleted like it's supposed to. I attempted to delete my yahoo account because I was getting WAY too much spam in my e-mail box and just didn't want to deal with it anymore. After a year I finally gave up. In fact, it's the account that I'm using for this forum! I fought with the options and filters and have managed to block out the bulk of the spam, but mainly use separate accounts for separate things. I think that I have 4 of them right now. I don't know why Yahoo didn't delete it, because I follwed the correct process several times.

Oh, well.

Don't those thingys have an expiration date for non usage? Like if you do touch it for 90 days it gets disolved?

I think it must include Messanging and music usage too, because I have not used XXXX inbox in over 5 years, but I can still use the password to access XXXX music and XXXX Messanging service.

All Yahoo does to mail accounts that have not been accessed within 90 days is disable it and keep it in case the user decides to reactivate it. They do delete all mail and address book with the deactivate, but they do not delete it.
