Maximum PC

Just got finished swapping out my POS Thomson drive for a modded Samsung 616t drive. I couldn't play more than about 15 minutes of NBA Ballers without it freezing up on me.

I'm not huge on consoles, but it's kind of addicting once you start poking around. While in there, I gave the fan more juice to run at 12v, and I'm considering some chip heatsinks and AS5 for the CPU and GPU. But we'll see, I'm ready to let it sit for awhile after the simple swap and mod above. I was ill equipped/prepared, and to get the drive to fit, I had to shave (with a steak knife) and light on fire various pieces of plastic to make everything snug. Kind of funny watching my son look as I lit pieces of the XBox on fire

does it play any other games well? or does is freeze on everything

That was the newest game I had (been a looooong awhile since I bought one, well over a year), and it's only been a problem on that particular game. I'm not convinced the drive was/is the sole culprit, but I wanted to do the mod regardless for the speed boost and, well, for the fun of it.

I modded my box with a xecuter 2.3b pro but still havent thrown in a hard drive any recomendations. I see xbox hard drive upgrages. It's a 120gb but i dont knbow weather i should get that off of xbox-modchips.com or just go out and get a seagate.
