Thumbs up:

Newegg before they started charging sales tax in TN.

ZipZoomFly

Ebay, for being a good place to sell stuff

Thumbs down:
Airborne Express for leaving a package when no one's home. Even if I'm home they drop and run, no knock at all.

OfficeMax for having bitchy managers (the main one was cool, the rest sucked). No wonder they closed the local one.

Wal-Mart...ugh I hate them with a passion! Of course I shop there a couple times a week, but still.

Ebay, for charging fees any time I sell something, and again from PayPal when I get paid. And for being so damn addictive...$1600 this week, probably that much the last two weeks...I think I'm going to stop bidding cause I seem to win too much.

Um, there's a lot more on my thumbs down list, but we'd be here forever.

Nice deal, sadly Circuit doesn't carry procs or mobos (although considering the comp knowledge of the majority of the PC department workers I've worked with over the last 5 1/2 years, that's a good thing. If only we still had the employee discount that was worth something (they pooched it when it switched to non-commission), still for a part-time job on the side, they make it more than worth my while.

Up:
-Newegg (shipped all parts to my computer in one piece for reasonble S&H to Alaska)

Fed Ex (Delievered my computer parts via newegg in a timely fashion and in excellent condidtion)

-Ati (good graphics card, great tech support)

-US Robotics (good modem...as good as 56k can be that is, helpful tech support)

Down:
Creative Labs (Sound Blaster Audigy pos that can't even have its drivers updated, always crashes and thinks there are multiple drivers installed. Tech support was not helpful--forced to roll back my computer to restore sound)

Asus: Good motherboard but the tech support ignored both my emails.

Belkin: I bought 3 of their products, currently all 3 sit there and look pretty because they are not quality hardware. 1. UPS that did not work (might be due to my faulty power supply, I'll have to see when I get a new one) 2. USB 2.0 port, causes problems with my hardware that I plug into it sometimes. 3. N52-- ok this one is good but I can't find my cd to use it and there is no software download on their site (just drivers/profiles) Bad bad bad tech support.

Two Geeks (local computer store)-- power supply that fireballed in my case a few months after buying it. Always trying to screw the customer. Little knowlege of monitors--couldn't answer my questions.

I didn't see it mentioned, does anyone have any information, I'm about to buy from them but I want to check first, they are a pretty common contender on pricewatch.com

guess I answered my own question, go to www.resellerratings.com

I don't know how credible they are, but they of course gave newegg a high rating and denounced bzboyz. So I guess I'll spend a few extra bucks, and avoid them.

Going beyond the standard fare of Newegg and company, here's a couple of diamonds in the rough I've personally used:

THUMBS UP:
www.ewiz.com (best if used in conjunction w/ pricewatch)
www.plainlabelpc.com

THUMBS DOWN:
This one guy on ebay that ripped me off. Oh, and this one convienence store down the road that raised their prices on the 'NoFear' drink when I started purchasing them in quantity.
