I'm glad Dex brought up an old PC. Now I don't feel so bad that I'm still playing with one. I still have a slot1 P3 500 on an Abit BE-6 that has recently been drug out to give to my dad. It used to run on a 133FSB for...666  , but I can only get a stable 600 now days. I don't get it. Can't remember the exact name of the HS/F...Alpha P3125S? It's the old slot one Alpha unit with two Y.S.techs spinning on top.

Main machine is modestly clocked 2.8C to 3.2; 3.4 if I'm feeling perky. Debating going down to Paul's (One4yu2c) 2.4C that's been proven to run this high as well. With all this crap I've added on, I should be running higher, but it's just not fun as it used to be. Sick, huh?

Other box is pretty much useless to clock-up. I just can't get it to do much. It's a 2.53 on a Gigabyte 8IHXP 3.0. This was my first and only Rambus machine and I've tried about every brand of memory to no avail. I just don't think they like to OC.

I took my 2.6 and overclocked it to just around 3.2 ghz i had to take it down to 3.1 because im not comfortable having my comp run at 40c.

Well there you go, taking the fun out of bragging for me in this thread

If you don't take it, I think I'll eventually tinker with some watercooling and higher rated RAM to find out where the limit on my chip lies.

Obviously an Intel chip!

AMD reccomends keeping 70w chips at or below 64C :P

AMD says the max temp is about 90C

I've got my AMD Barton 2500+ running at 2.2ghz or 3200+. I guess that's about a 400mhz overclock :D . Now running quite stable at 55C 8)

T-bred 2400+ @ 2.100GHz (140x15). I'm too lazy to overclock and test for stability any more. Besides, my cpu's multiplier is locked. Temps are 51C idle and 56C under load with air cooling. I can also turn on my 120mm blowhole fan that pushes 85cfm, but its mega-loud (duh).

My 3.0C is running @ 3.75. After I get my droop mod done and cool the NB a little better I hope to hit 3.9.

All right all your overclockers lets see how much you've managed to crank up the speeds on your procs!

Well I'm an old fart in the land of computers. I'm still running the same p3-450 I built back in the summer of 99!

I have it cranked up to a whooping 504mhz!

Funny thing is my system still does everything I need it to do. Email, chat, multimedia(mp3, dvd, etc), software development, web development, basic office junk, etc. Heck I even run a FreeBSD (4.10) server inside vmware on my machine for my web development.
