Man, I miss Dave. His sultry voice really made for some great podcast moments. *sigh*
Where is our favorite associate editor, anyhow? |

Another good job, guys! Only comment I have, is it possible to add or mention links to reports mentioned? I'd really like to send a copy of Symantecs report of OS security to a die-hard Mac friend of mine. |

I once had an almost identical problem, with source as well.
I took the PC in for a check up (this was before i was tech. savy) and I found out that my CPU's heatsink was not on all the way, and was over heating. My advice would be to run something like speedfan and monitor your temperatures, that could easily be the problem. |

I just did a quick search on NewEgg and 5-10 results came up for monitors from 20" - 22" with HDMI. I don't know if they are any good, but they're there.
Otherwise, great podcast! |

|

Just listened to the podcast. I had the same framerate problem that the user had with the 7800GS. It turned out to be temperature related, but not what you would think. The GPU actually needs to be HOTTER than 40 or 41C to function properly. Google "7800GS cold bug" for details.
My original workaround was to use Rivatuner to throttle back the fan during 2D mode to 'pre-heat' the GPU to 41C before gaming. Eventually XFX released a bios update. |
