:?: I'm about to order a few pecies that are proven to be a little hot around the collar i'm wondering if people can just give me alittle of their experience. And the reason i'm worried is not only does the CPU, and VGA run a little hot is because i'm putting it in to a tiny case, and it only has a 300 watt ps. will it hold?

3.4 LGA775 (Prescott) (Going to try to overclock to 3.6)
Antec Aria (SFF)
MSI "915GM-FR" 915G Chipset Motherboard
ABIT ATI Radeon X700 PRO Video Card, 128MB GDDR3, 128-Bit
(PCI-EXPRESS)
1GB of Kingston
MAXTOR 200GB 7200RPM Serial ATA Hard Drive

and i will probably be ordering some "Arctic Silver 5" just incase it gets too hot

Based SOLELY off of your list - I voted that it will get too hot...

The reason for this is that with stock HSF I'm already seeing reports of 60c at idle and 80c at full load... inside of a small case or with a hot video card is gonna cause problems unless you mitigate those chances with better then stock cooling...

Now - I think it will run great if you do the following:
Perform kickin cable management (round cables, zip ties, etc.)

Buy a better-than-stick HSF - My suggestion would be: Spire CoolWave II SP503B CPU Cooler - I'm seeing it highly rated - I'd prefer Zalman but they haven't released their LGA775 stuff as of yet.

I'd also consider - depending on the space left inside the case (I know that the aria is small) putting in an ATI Silencer 4 from Arctic Cooling - they run about $27-$30 bucks and are not only far more silent, but also have better cooling results than stock cooling alone...

There isn't much more you can do - the Antec Aria case fans are nice - although you could always try to upgrade those as well - but if you invested in the above three items - I think you'd be happy with the results...

Hmm...
If you're really wanting to get LGA775:
Lower speed proc, no overclocking.

Otherwise, you could go Skt. 478 and get a Northwood. You should be able to OC this.
or
You could go AMD?

useless the onl that will generate heat is your cpu, the gpu is not a heat heavy item. But all things considered you are a moron if u OC in a little box on a cpu that is already giving out 60 cs idle.
