I download the podcasts by right clicking on the link and hitting "Save Target As.." and saving the MP3 file. However when I play them in WMP (WMP10) everyones voice sounds like chipmunks and it's all distorted. The mp3 works just fine in other media players though. This same thing happens on both the computers on my desk here... Whats the deal?

Another good podcast overall though.. I liked the strictly MPC ones better though I think.

Not sure exactly what's up with the sample rate. It worked fine in MP11 for me, as well as iTunes, but it has definitely been a little weird.

This one was obviously recorded by amateurs though (meaning me). We're probably going to do another Maximum PC/PC Gamer one next week, but Jeremy will be back the following week, so we should be back to normal.

I'm listening to it right now as I type this and so far I'm loving it. MPC & PCGamer should hook up more often! The podcast keeps getting better & better.

For some reason I didn't like this one as much as I did the other one's. Personally, I think the volume was kind of muffled than in previous versions (although, I do understand that it was recorded by amateurs, so no problem there).

I didn't particularly like the game talk, seemed kind of boring to me, but I think I'm used to the strictly Maximum PC one's, as in it's all about PC talk and the peripherals.

Overall though another great podcast :)

Hello Maximum PC !

I am a big fan of your podcast but I have to say that this week the quality of the broadcast was much lower than usually is. The sound quality sounds very compressed. Did you guys changed the quality of the recording ?
I am looking forward to MPC podcast again, that dude has a bit weird accent :) ( I guess it has something to do with his origin in UK). lol, respect though.
Also he was not very technical savy but overall a good podcast.
Keep it up.

No worries with the sound quality. Totally forgivable. IMO anyone who gets miffed because the sound is a little scratchy needs to get over themselves. But anyway, it's kinda funny because I listen to both MaxPC and PCGamer, so I actually downloaded the same podcast twice! It's cool though. I personally love both podcasts, but agree with the MaxPC sentiments that Gary is longwinded.

This podcast was borderline BS for me, but it wasn't a regular one either. Please try to keep your podcasts separate, as I wasn't to interested in the PC Gamer Stuff and Gordon's Rants appeared to have been cut off. That and the low quality compression lead to the early termination of my listening to the Maximum PC Podcast.

And that was my failure to listen report... Although your earlier work was excellent and I hope I see more of it!

P.S. Flapjack, the sound quality caused me to have a hard time hearing the podcast. That's something that you can't get over!
