Monkeys -v- all comers. I'm absolutely certain monkeys would prevail. I keep pushing them to offer the challenge but apparently we're working other angles right now. grr...

I'm not too sure how all of this Monkey business is being conducted. I saw a couple posts about how some take issue with a team with-in a team folding and all that, so never asked. But I would like to know now. What's the deal with this?

The monkeys are far from the only collective within this team.
-The editors fold under their own collective.
-Team Monster is here
-Team Dino
- Cham[s] folds under R&M Collective. Not sure what that encompasses but it's there.

I know we have a thread that breaks down the different collectives and members I can't seem to find it though.

Most of the Folding teams I've seen or sandbagged (like overclockers) seem to have these small groups within a team going on as well. If it keeps competition fresh and people striving to outpace someone else - I say go for it.

Collective, that's the word I was looking for.

I don't disagree with it (collectives) either. It keeps MaximumPC on the move and Folding happens, which is all I really care about.

It wouldn't be a race any more. We'd be bounding from limb to limb in grand monkey style.

considering there was 200-300% more coming from contributions on the last monkey race than the monkeys alone could provide.. this would end up like beating monkeys in a small cage with a stick through the bars

Don't mind him puff. Screwballl assumes too many things:

1) That the last opposing team was monkeys as well and very likely had help from their base team too.

2) That this team, sans monkeys could outfold the Monkey Federation (not gonna' happen!)

He's just one of those guys that reaches into the cage and needs zoo employees to help him get his arm back. :P But if Screwballl's got a short dress, a pair of brass ones and some fishnet stockings he's ready to wear - I smell a challenge.

That being said - if he can muster an opposition, I pledge 20 new cores (in addition to my 30 current) to our cause to cement the win.

Screwballl - I pass you tomorrow or Thursday on a 1 to 1. BTW

This could prove interesting; now we just need to find a few takers that want to band together. It's all in good fun ppl, interteam competition makes for a fun time.

For proof see The Mighty Marathon thread, more posts and views than almost any other single thread on the entire forum.

Ah ..... he doesn't bother me too much.....

I just hold bad feelings towards him since he embarassed our Team by accusing some of the top folders in the world from the other team of cheating.....

at no point was it an embarrassment unless you took it personally... I merely stated to instate some rules to prevent the possibility of cheating on either side... if we had given it another few days then they probably would have dumped.... oh well that is behind us, no one but them could have really known if/when they would dump
and you are entitled to your opinion

now if I had more then 3 folding boxes myself I would step up...
