 Post subject: HOW DO I OVERCLOCK MY 3.0 p4 with an Intel MOTHERBOARD

I have an Intel mother board a D865PERL and a p4 3.0 ghz. I was told that there is no way of overclocking it but then others told me there was. Can i overclock? and if so how do i do that?

on an Intel mobo you cant oc at all its all locked up
your best choice would to buy another mobo from somebody like asus, abit, or gigabyte to oc

ya sorry bro.. ur basically screwed

I was in the same spot when i bought my p3 800 with an Intel board. Thank god tho Intel had some problem with the board (a recall) and I had the guy that built my pc change it and put in an asus cusl2. Now that was a motherboard......

go with asus... they jus kik ass

Hmm. Doesn't ClockGen work fine on this board? The option may not be in the Intel BIOS, but this clocks it inside Windows. You may want to try. Get it at www.cpuid.com.

Edit: Never mind. Looks like the app does not support Intel. Bummer.

i would go wit msi i just got my pc like 2 weeks ago p4 3.0 with samsung
1024 ram 6800 gt bfg oc
main board 865PE Neo2-PFS
(Platinum Edition and the overclocking is great well good luck :)
