Debatable, I'll let another mod decide. He actually has "real" posts too.

Screwball was referring to this useless thread where he declares himself a spammer. Did you miss that? :?

It's pretty well known here that when you see that, a mod has edited out the post.

I really don't see anything wrong with that. If it's free software, why doesn't it belong here?

But yes, I haven't read any of his other posts. I just don't see anything wrong with this particular post.

Am I missing something? Is this sarcasm?

Hopefully it is, but if I had a virus scanner on me, I would download that and scan it. Virus = ban. Not too mention his post should be deleted so no one can download it.

I'm just wondering why someone would post a direct link to an .exe file in his own webspace, rather than post to the company's download site.

Ignore me if I'm not getting something, long day

It doesn't for me. Perhaps it was just the one time you tried it, or maybe resetting the modem stopped the DoS attacks

there was a program that won a maximum pc softy award, and i cant seem to remember what it was called. I just moved and havnt unpacked my old issues yet or i would look it up myself.

the program took the entire contents of your hard drive and displayed it as a picture with each folder and file taking up an appropirate amount of space relative to the entire disk.

Can anybody remember what the name of it is?

I'm almost certain it was a sourceforge.net project.

many thanks

SpaceMonger was the one that won the softy award.

Just in case you wanted to know.

Media Player Classic is not a virus, it is an opensource mediaplayer that I have scanned for viruses time and time again (as I do all software I download  ).
I cannot prove this without showing you a video chat (don't have a webcam), Remote assistance (I don't think so), or I could give you the right IP address......
So i choose #3 since I have no webcam, I ain't letting anyone in my computer with RA, so I will give my IP address as a symbol of dedication to MPC not having a virus/spyware/adware/any-type-of-malware.....

Gabe (My) IP address for you disbelevers is 71.112.129.231 my browser is Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.8.0.5) Gecko/20060731 Firefox/1.5.0.5 Flock/0.7.4.1.
