well, today i started up my computer and for no apparent reason my display has shifted up about 2 inches and is tilted down to the right about 10 degrees. I tried to adjust the monitor with the buttons on the front pannel and it won't let me. i get an osd lock message each time i press a button. i looked up in the manual to see if there was a way to disable this, and following the instructions (hold and hold up arrow for 10 seconds) doesn't do anything. I though this might be a video card problem, so i took a screenshot of my desktop, and it came out normal. i have a viewsonic g90f.
i appreciate any ideas you might have
Snake, this might sound weird, but it's worked occasionally in the past:
1. Unplug Power Cord from the back of the monitor.
2. Press and hold the power button on the monitor for 10-15 seconds.
3. Plug the Power Cord back into the monitor
4. Restart the monitor and test.
There should be a Degaussing Button (possibly with an icon which looks like a magnet) on the front. Try using that to see if it will reset it.
Have you tried the monitor on another system, just to ensure the same thing happens?
