thank you for your congrats...... your team did great and excelled in sportsmanship....... It's nice to know the great conspiracy theory that was going around about some apparent huge wu flush (whatever that is) didn't develop...... you guys are a class act....
A huge flush is done using a work cache like the one for rigs which have no regular internet access. (You can even use a cache for WU's that is NOT from Stanford).
So your team gets a months worth of WU's or so done, and get together and you can "flush" them all back to Stanford, at one time. The Dutch Power Cows and part of the Vietnam Global Team used to do this. In one day you can bring a sub-team up by 50K - 100K.
Because of the serial nature of the generations of WU's, Stanford does NOT want this done, though. Slows down their science part, markedly.
We got off a little lucky. Two of their big Monkey supporters (Alabama Cajun and Ghetto Comp), who have nice farms, were unable to compete due to family obligations in AC's case, and a power problem that fried his house a bit, in Ghetto's case.
With luck, he'll never find the imprint of my wire cutters!!
