Uhh, you kinda need to have a paypal account linked to something such as a bank account or a credit card. What did you expect they were gonna do, mail you a check?

If you aren't comfortable with paypal having access to your bank account, set up a new bank account that is only for paypal. I know it is a pain, but check it every day, and if there is anything in it, transfer it to your main account. Make sure your bank doesn't allow one account to access the other.

Last time I checked this was an option with a fee involved. They will send a check in the mail. I will have to confirm this now.

Mailing a check is an option. I don't understand why they are saying you can't use the money without a check account attached. You should be able to, but you just can't be a verified member. You should especially be able to use it for sending money to someone. I have my checking attached(one created just for it). I wasn't aware of that requirement and agree its BS. If this is the case they shouldn't have allowed you to even accept a payment until this requirement was met.

Hmm, ya know, I've never actually seen the request a check option before. Of course, I'm usually sending money out of paypal and away from my account :)
