I'm from California and I'd rather not pay sales tax. Newegg and ZipZoomFly should move to another state so I can get good service and prices, all the while avoiding sales tax.

Though I wish this would happen, it will not.

Can anybody give me a list of good resellers that do not reside in California?

I know of Monarch Computers and ebuyer and that's it.

Thanks.

Yeah, if you compare it to CompUSA or Best Buy. But, I usually don't like paying the extra money to have them rape me, so I don't usually buy from them. Monarch Computers and Ebuyer generally have comparable prices, but without sales tax.

You'd better not be from New York, otherwise you'd be contradicting yourself.

Take my Governor...please!

back OT though, if you go to pricewatch.com to look for your product, they list what State the retailers are located in. There are quite a few, but check resellerratings.com,etc., b4 taking the plunge. hope that helps!

even if it does say the state the retailer is located in they might have a branch in your state and get you for sales tax on that. most wont though, only mega huge companies.

bloomberg...ugh...guliani was ok till he made the hugest lie last night at the convention "thank god bush is pres." he just wants to be in bush's cabinent.

Your state needs your sales tax.

www.directron.com - I've bought from these guys quite a few times. They've been fast, have pretty good prices and have never let me down yet. They're also located in Texas.

Well... Shit, I coulda swore www.ewiz.com was out of state, but It turns out they're actually close to me. They have a 408 area code, which is in the San Jose/Santa Clara area.

If I am you, I'll drive down there and pay the man undertable cass for spare parts. A friend of mine used to work for Verizon, and he brought home a lot of freebies.

That's as ludicrous as someone removing 2 letters from a four letter word to save typing! SILLY!

;)
