Any using this board who has come up with a cooling solution for the NB heatsink? It looks like you could just screw a 40mm fan or something similar sized onto the heatsink to help cool it, just wondering if this has worked for anyone?

Actually, I accidently found a solution. My video card produces quite a bit of heat, but it only has one fan...duh. Well, since that fan is onthe bottom of the card, the top of the card doesn't get any cooling. That's where the AGP Airlift Graphics Card Cooler came in handy. Well, although the little rubber pads help, it doesn't have the clearance under it to move enough air. Well, I "leaned" it up against my Northbridge heatsink, and it now does double duty cooling both my graphics card, AND my Northbridge chipset.

interesting concept. is your AGP cooler just propped up against the NB? or is it like secured at all? just thought i would mention it because i did the same thing with a 90 mm fan to the top of my 9800 pro to cool the Ram on it and it ended up messing up something on my card, so i had to get a new one (luckily i tricked ATI into thinking it was defective)

Yeah...it was prior to installing my Thermaltake Giant 3. It was propped up in a way that it wouldn't cause a problem. It comes with little rubber "feet" and weighs about 2 ounces...if that.
