I've already passed the hardware part of the test, is there a good way to study, or any good practice tests for the OS part?

I've heard A+ for Dummies is a good book to help study for it. I haven't read it as of yet but I think I may pick-up a copy this weekend, that is if I don't spend the money on games or upgrades for my computer.

Yeah but his anology of the "Man in the box" is the dumbest and most confusing thing! Had my Tech Support and Networking class crying, almost literally. :)

Congrats! Been a CompTIA A+ Certified Professional since May 28, 2004. Not easy to accomplish. The OS part was the tough one. Passed barely by 3 points. LOL :P

Is this the same guy who did a series of very annoying A+ videos? 'Cause my stupid teacher makes us watch him, and he says the most dumbass things like you wouldn't believe. (and you'd better not have thought I meant the actual movie star...)

I never watched any videos by him. Didn't know they even existed.

I know I've seen a few by Scott Mueller, but he's badass.

The book you linked was published in 2002....I could be wrong but I think CompTIA changed some standards in 2003....

Yes, some standards were changed. Here's the current exam numbers from the CompTIA website:

A+ 2003 Linear Core Exam: 220-301

A+ 2003 Linear OS Exam: 220-302

And a link from the A+ FAQ that explains the changes (click #9).
