After I read the august max pc issue cover to cover a few times, i got bored and while at a newsstand puchased a copy of PC Magizine. It sucks all as it talks about is keeping your children safe online.

gamerfreak - perhaps your not reading it for what it is. If you read the pages more carefully you'll find alot of helpful tips and advanced coding articles too. Thay may not be that up on hardware enthusiasm but they do have more than just that. I find out stuff about linux (server setup) and other things like router configs and sofware app reviews pretty cool. Sometimes it's nice to take a break from your typical hardware mag and read something else too.

I don't buy it often but I do get their email tips. They're web site is also pretty handy, they archive a lot of articles.

Just so I'm clear, was it PC Magazine or PC World.

Granted they both stink, however I think PC World is way better than PC Magazine. I thnk PC Magazine is geared toward the corporate world.

gamerfreak,

PC Magazine has its own forum where you can complain about the mag:

http://discuss.pcmag.com

The PC Mag forum has one of the most professional moderators I've ever seen, Mr. Jim Lynch. I have the highest respect for Mr. Lynch and the way he runs PC Mag's forums. He's also the moderator of their enthusiast site/forum, Extreme Tech.

Please refrain from using Max PC's forum to bash PC Magazine. Feel free to insult them on their own home turf, where the editorial staff can actually respond.

Thanks,
[Ch]amsalot

I'd prefer not to have this forum sink to their level. Save it for the incredibly stupid, like when they confuse a HT single-processor system for a true dualie and say "there are two processors" under a single heatsink/fan.

Thanks in advanced for your cooperation.

OMG...Mr. Lynch? He's hilarious. He moderates his own board...you'll lose all respect for Jim Lynch once you visit his personal forum. ;)
