I'm using 3 right now, with #4 somewhere between me and California.

Soundstorm

SB Live

Santa Cruz

#4 Audigy 2zs Platinum

I fully intend to use 1 and 4 the most, Soundstorm will keeps its special place in my heart for its DD Encoding but the Audigy will likely take the cake.

To own or to use at once!? Two is too many to use IMO. But I own about 6 cards with 2 just sitting on the table (want an SB16 ISA?).

Pro sound... DJ applications... Doom 3... freaking crappy onboard cards with half-assed 5.1

Yeah I could see having 2-3 in a serious rig. But only 3 because every motherboard in the world has one onboard these days.

Why, ummm, would one choose to run a SB Live and a SB Audigy2?

Before I got my laptop, my DJ computer had a SoundBlaster Live! Professional in it. Two chips on one card, Mini-XLR jacks to plug into a mix board, and PC-DJ recognized the card as two seperate cards.

With my Sony Laptop, I have onboard running as Channel #1, and an Audigy External as Channel #2.

I'm using the Sound Strorm right now but I'm thinking about installing my SB Live just for the Joystick port because my gamepad isn't USB.

But for actual use for sound I'm only going to use the Sound Storm.

All you need:

SB Audigy2

and one or two high end studio sound cards, like the ones you can buy in Musician's Friend or something.

Audigy 2 ZS here for gaming, and Revo for music. No problems.
