Hi all,

I'm writing a program in VB.net that has 4 combo boxes and a list box. When an item is chosen from one of the combo boxes, the selected item needs to be displayed in the listbox. I think this is close but the syntax isn't quite right and I get a string error. Can anybody give me the correct syntax?

cboComboBox.Items.Add(ListBox.SelectedItem)

Thanks in advance

Tom

You actually have it backwards. If you're wanting to add items that you chose from the combo box to the listbox, then you need to pass the data from the combo box to the list box.

ListBox.Items.Add( cboComboBox.SelectedItem)

No. That's because VB is the scum of the earth, VB has many names for itself:

Virus BASIC
Virus Builder
Visibly Broken

I'll let you be creative on this one ;)

The first program I released on the Internet for public use was written in vb6. I still like using it sometimes.

This is the same program I rewrote in c++. I can post a link to the complete new c++ version for anyone interested. It does not do much and I have plans to add an alarm feature later, but currently it tell the user how long their pc has been running since the last boot, restart, or shutdown.
