I have SP2 RC1, and it was very nice. The firewall is very much improved. It takes a couple days to get use to it, but it is better IMO. I uninstalled it though after i was having issues contacting windows update. RC2 has since been released and havent treid it yet, however, I have heard that they fixed a lot of things in this RC, so i may give it a try soon, but the final version is due soon, so i may just wait.

Im already running RC1...disabled the firewall though since I already have ZA running fine, no reason to mess with that

I kind of thought the same thing at first, but the Windows Firewall is very good now. I probably will wait until the final RC though.

hmm, I might eventually start running it with the final version and after some of the firewall-know-it-alls get to test it out.

probs i have found:

- add/remove programs doesnt NOT show ALL programs or updates: it shows about 30% of everything that should be there

- my HDD goes nuts when i log in. it has activity for about 5 mins.

thats all i have found as of now...the HDD one is really annoying though

Bigpaa,

Well, in your add/remove programs is the check box check for "Show All Updates"??

i have shite to do, you can't pay me enough to run RC SP's on my computers. Once the SP is offical I'll wait like 2x weeks (and make sure it's not blowing up anyone's installs) Then I'll install it, in least vital to most vital PC over the period of a week or so.

:) well that may be, but i've wasted to much time, reformatting after doing somebodys beta testing for them and having it go badly. No I'm quite content to let others do all the beta testing for my and only install once I'm pretty sure things are going to work.

down time is basically money right now, so i don't like to fuck about, to much.

Meanwhile, somebody'll write a virus that'll exploit those people who wait too long to install the SP...
