Besides from what alienware came out with their propriatary stuff you got Nvidias solution. But a hefty premium to take advantage of. Link is below for your reading pleasure with PICS!

I love the idea. It makes my pants happy. But I won't pay a monster premium for it.

But it still makes me giggle like a school girl on helium.

I'm with Jip on this one (except it makes my shorts happy, not pants). Of course I would not be opposed to 2x6800, but there's no way I could justify the cost.

I wonder how nVidia would support spanning the desktop on something like that. A setup like that could allow four monitor surround gaming (three would be better for fps) with all the settings on "highest". Pretty sweet deal.

Hmm well they also support the cheaper 6800GTs. Still costly, but if you ever wanted to venture that road. It is possible.

That's a little better, you've got it down to an $800 graphics solution. What I'm interested in is how this takes off once cards come to more affordable levels. Popping in a couple of $200 vid cards would be more in my realm of potential considerations.

I wouldn't buy that or the ALX, but only because I can't afford to splash that much on hardware at the moment.

About time I sawa some physical present of the 3dfx buy out. While I sure some things from 3dfx got put in to the core gpus. I love sli..... I still have in most machiens 2 v2s in sli mode for the few glide based games I still play... Amazing simple amazing. Though I could kick the v2s higher tha n1024x768 though.

About time nvidia did something right.

I think this concept even though not accepted by most ppl because of cost it is going to change the battle of the 3d market with ATI and Nvidia. The technology is sound and If it were not for 3dfx going out of business an not being able to play most newer games with my old voodoo 5 and voodoo 2's in SLI mode I would of never sold them off. FX 6800 I will take 2 please!! SPANK!! SPANK!! K.M.A ATI you ain't got nothing on the FX chip even with your so called optimizations!!

Now I will end up buying 2 just because it will be another 3dfx related item to my collection.

You realise that the only thing 3Dfx related is the name 'SLI', right? The technologies are similar only in that they use two cards. :)

You could always buy the GT version of the card. I think that is a single slot solution. And just 50 mhz slower than the Ultra. So very overclockable! :D
