Come on people, your mag is great. The articles are unbiased, informative, and for the most part up to date and staying ahead of the curve. I have been reading the mag since it started with that other name, I cant remember it now. I read it cover to cover for all the reviews and product rankings. Anytime I go to buy a new anything I check MaximumPC.
One gripe I have is the Rig of the Month……they seem to be getting weaker every month. They don’t have the same flare or piazza they had in the past. (This could be me again. I have a short attention spa…..hey look a bird.)

However, the website, (is that one or two words), it just sucks.
• It’s slow all the time, but that could be my fault, I am downloading porn Art Movies, yea that’s it, most of the time.
• I tried to renew my subscription online but I could not choose just the magazine, (What are you thinking giving out CDs every month. Its bloody 2005 and you people are still using sneaker net. Have all the links on your website, it might be cheaper. DOH!).
• It’s impossible to find any review that you had in the pass
• The search box…….I am not sure what it is searching
• Most for the content from the current and past magazines is not even posted on the website…..It cant be that hard to do. The magazine is created in electronic format to be printed. If it is the cost to post, then only have it for the subscribers.
• Product finder has nothing to do with your website. (except extra cash)
• Product Ranking is just sloppy or lazy. How about some filters or some way to narrow down the results. I don’t know anyone who wants a video card rated a 4.
• Some of the navigation buttons don’t even show up until you select Product Finder. Once that button is chosen you have a whole new menu.

I know. Who am I to judge? This letter sucks also, but I am not in the business to create websites, or am I?
Well that is my two scents.
So come on, flame me

You must be new around here :)

It's been the same story for a few years now...

Limited web budget and no dedicated web-only personnel...

Everybody's got something to hide...except me and my monkey.

And you can't really yelp too much about mag content not being posted here. MPC is doing what they do to make money. How can they make money if they put all their content in here, where we users get it free?

If they did put it all here for free, there wouldn't be a magazine. Shortly after, there wouldn't be a forum.

Besides, they do put one or two items up gratis.

How slow is slow? I'm on dialup, and it only takes a page a second or two to load and display. But then, I'm not trying to watch a movie, listen to tunes, play a game all at the same time. Just 'cause a system is able to do multiple jobs, doesn't mean it is able to do all of them well.

Aside from all that, welcome to the forums!

Then make the content for people with the subscriptions
Have us log-in using our mag accounts. Or even charge a little more for it.
I don't save magazines...I read them and then pass them to someone else to enjoy. I would love to have a database of all the articles that I could access or query.

I just just saying that for a magazine that boast at being the best, the website should reflect that attitude also.

You like your mag? Be glad they aren't pulling resources from that to give you a pretty website.

One that's trained, and doesn't throw bananas and feces, or bite people? I suppose that's part of his charm, though.

On the speed issue, I never have any speed problems here, even with multiple apps open, including p2p.

Is that that thing people use to use to communicate with before email was invented?

Yea, but then you can't see what depresses you. Trust me it works. Out of sight, out of mind.
