It's a known issue on the first issue of the 4.1's. There's a v2 that's out that corrected this. I'm not sure if Klipsch issued a recall, but I'd for sure write their support and inform them to see if they can correct you on their dime.
If not, they have a pod available for sale that you replace yours with. It's not just the pot that's bad as some have tried to replace it with no good result (other than having a new pot).
Another old problem was with the headphone jack on the v1's that crackled as well. So, basically....the pod is junk. If you know that you have the second version of the 4.1 rig I'm at a loss as I haven't heard this problem comming back to light after the revision.
I have the v2 and they're fine and dandy.
(ahhhh! I can't find the 4.1 on their site anymore! It's been replaced by the 4.2 rig:p)
