Maximum PC

As most of you know, there are only a few of us, and it takes a lot of time to make the magazine every month. Unfortunately, that leaves without much time to hang out on the forums. With that in mind, here's a quick list of things you can do to maximize your chance of getting a response from an editor.

1. Keep your question or comment brief, concise, and on-topic.
2. Don't troll or flame. If you really want an answer, be nice. We're usually on the forums in our free time, and the last thing we want is to be abused.
3. Use punctuation and paragraphs. If you post a 4000 word question with no paragraph breaks, no one's going to read it.
4. Give context for your question. If it's about a review, mention the month the review appeared, don't just say "Jeez, you guys are newbs for liking the XYZ-50 over the ABC-10." Instead, say "I think you were wrong about the videocard review on page 89 of the December issue"
5. If no one answers, don't assume it's because no one cares. I only answer the stuff that I know about.
6. Don't send PMs to the editors asking about your post.

Also, don't bother expect to get answers on the following topics. We don't know the answer or we've talked about them at length already.

• Getting DVD-ROMs instead of CDs. It will happen, but I don't know when.
• Getting more content on the website. Something is happening on that front, but I don't have a timeline.
• Ads in general. We have nothing to do with them, and we don't want to. Without them, there'd be no Maximum PC.
• Digital version of the mag. It will happen when the time is right. No, I don't know when that will be.
