 Post subject: shutdown and restart tips

A few months ago maximumpc had in their magazine some windows xp tips. The one I am searching for is the shutdown and restart file you could put on your desktop. It went something like this -r -s 0 but I can't remember the right sequence. My wife threw away my MAGAZINE lol.

when you have a chance i suggest you buy their summer 2004 unauthorized maximumpc edition. this editions shows you tips and tricks with windows xp and the magazine is all on windows xp. its worth buying this edition and im really happy i bought it.

your in luck i was just lookin thru my old issues for that too this is how to do it

    create a new shortcut on desktop
    in the location line type:
    shutdown -s -t 0
    name it shutdown and select an icon for it
    for restart type:
    shutdown -r -t 0

the 0 ( after the -t ) is the number of seconds to wait; you can also put in 5 ,10,30,etc. if you want.

cool did not know that is there a max that you can put?
will have to expirment with that
