Whats the the best/safest p2p around and is there any way for these to mess up a computer or teh downloads themselves??

BEST = The eDonkey network.
SAFEST = None, except maybe Newsgroups, but those aren't really considered P2P.

Can you mess up your computer? Yes.
Can you mess up the downloaded files? If you try hard enough, Yes.

P2P as you know it is sooooo yesterday :wink: Look into BitTorrent.

That better? I don't personally consider Bit Torrent to be a true P2P when you factor in the central server (tracker).

I like ABC. Another popular one is Azureus. I wasn't as fond of Azureus, as it slowed my system down, whereas ABC ran more like I expected.

I heard that a program called DC++ is quite a got p2p program, a friend of mine has it and said he can download anything he wants off of it and it works good too. Im having a bit of trouble working it though.

I second the eDonkey network. I use overnet, same as edonkey2k sorta. I get reliable downloads, and un-like kazaa fake files everywhere.

#1 reason why they rock is VERIFIED downloads. Click on a ed2k link, adds it 2 your downloads. www.s**econnector.com is a place to get em. I'll ** the extra spots and let you figure it out.

Safest, there isn't one. What you download is your responsibility and risk involved you should know it.

Make sure you got your anti-virus updated. Alot of people like to attach viruses to .exe/.zip files.
