What is your guys' take on this game? I love it, much better than 1942, and is so much fun. What do you guys think?

I've only played the game twice since I bought it (not joking). When I first bought the game it wasn't stable. There was finally a patch 2 months later (?) that fixed it, but I lost interest by that time and stopped playing it.

If you like BFV, I highly recommend Joint Operations: Typhoon Rising. IMO, this is the way BFV should have been from the beginning. I was hooked on this game till my video card took a sh!t on me. Now I can't play anything as of now. You can download a demo of it at FilePlanet.com. Again, I highly recommend trying this game out.

I like BF's quirkyness. I like that it's not realistic and the planes are hard to get used to. I like not having all the "bling" in the original. If I wanted "real" I'd play COD all day. (FarCry is not an option. I won't support their company until they get with the program and lay off the havoc they cause.)

That being said, I too am among the "own it and don't play it club".

Add my to that Club. I do enjoy the game (especially the sound track =] ) but i haven't played it that much... I'd prefer COD or even DoD

I played RTCW religiously (please forgive spelling) for 2 years, and I gave it up this year, seeing as the game is almost dead. With RTCW ET having such a small community, I started searching for other games. CoD promised to be the RTCW replacement, but all it replaced was MOHAA, a game which I hated. I found BFV and it was very similar to RTCW in the community, and tactics, just on a larger scale. :)
