Hey, just for comparison's sake, post some details about your WU like ETA, TPF, etc.

Use this template:
------------------------------------
GPU or CPU (and which one)
PROJECT:
Core:
TFP: (hr:min:sec)
ETA:
Base Points:
------------------------------------

------------------------------------
Here's mine right now:

GPU: Nvidia GTX 550ti
PROJECT: 9201
Core: 0x17
TFP: 00:12:37
ETA: 21.12 hours
Base Points: 8000
------------------------------------

By the way, check out this f@h calculator: http://www.linuxforge.net/bonuscalc2.php

Edit: added core

That's a good idea. Interesting to make comparisons, maybe identify issues, or help make purchasing decisions. I've got a 9201 now on my 750 Ti with the -beta flag set.

GPU: NVIDIA 750 Ti
PROJECT: 9201(565,0,4)
Core: 0x17
TPF: 4'31"
ETA: 7.5 hrs (estimated)
Base Points: 8000
Estimated Points: 22648
PPD: 72206

(Windows 7 x64, E2160@3.0Ghz, 4GB RAM)

I wanted to fold with my GPU but it was giving me BA WU. I think it was a 9202 but not sure, what I do know is there was no way I could finish it in time. I looked it up and it had no description other then it was BA WU?

I cleared out the WU but it gave it back to me again. It's been over a week so I'm going to try again.

I am still getting huge work units (13001) for my GTX760 10 days for 17,000 points.
CPU 8 days (8583)

Both need to be done before I can do it. Anyway I can get some smaller WU.

I just picked up one of the huge WU for my 7870, too. Science must go on, but it is really going to impact my PPD. EasyE, how did find out that yours was a BA WU?

GPU: AMD 7870
Project: 13001 (503, 2, 26)
ETA: 3.73 days
Base Credit: 17123
Est Credit: 26077
Est PPD: 4172
Est TPF: 1 hour 30 min

Most Core17 WU take my card ~20 hours, but this is the first time that I've picked up one that is showing multiple days for this card. Anyone know what the story is on these WU?

This is odd. Now the same WU has a TPF of 9 min and 24 seconds, and the ETA is 7 hours and 18 min and my estimated PPD is 83375. Does this happen to anyone else?

If the first set of numbers you posted was gathered as soon as the WU was loaded it's normal. It's common for them to show some highly inaccurate numbers before it gets a few frames completed and can offer a better estimate, especially if it's a new WU (one your system hasn't seen before, or recently).

Here's a typical WU from my old server.

CPU(s): (2) Intel Xeon 5410@2.8Ghz
PROJECT: 8582 (1, 7, 469)
Core: 0xa3
TPF: 10'12"
ETA: 16-17 hours
Base Points: 1665
Estimated Points: 12425
PPD: 17541

(Windows 7 x64 4GB, ECC, Client Version 7.3.6)
I'm curious to see the numbers from people's i7s, to see how my two old quad-core Xeons hold up against new quads w/HT. No threads lost to GPUs in that machine, just a whole bunch of electricity being turned helpfully in to heat and noise. If wdfogg's numbers are typical then I'm not too disappointed in these old Xeons.

I think I was linked to it from a form post at HardOCP, it sent me to a post at F@H forms.

I haven't had enough time in front of my folding computer to look into it but I am getting strange TPF numbers. I think I let it run long enough to get accurate numbers. This all started when I installed the newest version of the folding software so I need to go through my configuration. I am thinking maybe something is holding my card back from folding at 100%.

EasyE, what driver version are you using? Also, if you look in your log right around the time the WU started (a few lines down probably, before it really starts Folding) do you see where it says 0x17 version? What version of the core does it show?

I think we should add which "Core" to the template (e.g., 0x15, 0x17, 0xa3, 0xa4). I'm going to edit my previous posts with this addendum. I don't expect everybody to. Just thought it would be a nice addition moving forward.

evga gtx570 classified

0x17 9408 (1218, 0, 23) @12% eta 23 hrs 53 min tpf 16min 18sec estimated credit 39,676

core2quad 9550 no dedicated cores to the video card.

oxa3 8574 (1, 0, 455) @16.5% eta 1.47 days tpf 25min 22sec estimated credit 8076

both of these were fresh today, times are while surfing no games. when I do play games I turn off folding. so there is a big effect on points since I sometimes game for 12 or 14 hours straight, and turn it back on when I go to bed. this leads to lots of 0 days on my eoc stats. this should change as I sprung for a gtx770 a few min. ago.

odd, my tpf changed to 16min 34sec credit up to 9141 with an eta of 1.05 days. :?

yes, I would say there is something wrong, your 760 should do better than my 570. my son is running a 560 that does better than that 760.

EasyE- Pause your 760. Set the -beta client-type. Then go to C:\Users\<your name>\AppData\Roaming\FAHClient\cores\www.stanford.edu\~pande\Win32\AMD64\NVIDIA\Fermi\beta\Core_17.fah and delete "Core_17.fah" (or you could just move it somewhere else for a second if you're the nervous type). Start the Folding slot again, this should force it to download the beta version of Core_17 (v. 0.0.5.5). this has been shown to help problems with GK104 (and possibly GM107), especially with drivers newer than about 327.x.x.
Of course, I think that the 13000 series WUs are just kind of a general PITA.

Edit:Actually, I see there in the pic (looking again) that the WU hadn't had time to get settled in yet. What are the numbers looking like now?

I don't think I'll be folding with the CPU unless I get a new cooler. The stock AMD ramps the fan up to 4500rpm to keep temps at ~46C. That is ridiculously loud. The good thing about this WU is that I get 2 weeks to fold. I think I'll do 4-5 hours a day.

Hyper 212 if it's worth spending $30-40 on to you. That seems like the clear price/performance ratio winner for air coolers. 0xa3 WUs seem to run hotter than 0xa4.
