Whenever I try to stream movies on hbogo or even try to get to the site it won't load
I have windows 8 64 bit
My pc is custom built
Motherboard: Asus z87 pro
CPU: i5 Intel
GPU: Galaxy GEforce 770
Power Supply: 750w
Everything else runs great besides steam where the games run laggy and sometimes won't even play
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds to me like you are running on the page file system. How much ram do you have installed, you didn't say, 8 gigs is the norm these days.

Nasty

I'm skeptical this is the case, I ran a computer with Windows 7 and 2GB of RAM just fine. Unless Op is maxing put the RAM somehow...

Hmm, need a little more information. This looks like more of a networking/browsing issue than a hardware issue. What is the problem getting to the hbogo site? Any error messages? What browser are you using, and with what extensions? Is this something you were able to do previously? Any other web-surfing/network speed issues?

I'm skeptical of your definition of "fine."

The system actually works, no slow downs or lag, even ran a few games like Company of Heroes on it with no problem. Hell, my Windows 8 tablet has 2GB of RAM and I have a pleasant experience with it. RAM doesn't make your computer magically faster unless you're running out of it and constantly hitting the swap file.

Oh and that computer originally had Vista on it, and that was fine too.
