That is a mean machine for sure. Twinkling lights are a must have for this fashion season also

Is it running now? I would love to see some benchmark results.

Good stuff

Just a personal question if you don't mind.

What do you do for a living and how can I get that job?

What's the rest of your setup going to be?

LCD or CRT, etc.

With the cash your spending, a 21in+ looks like it may be on the cards.

Also, do you think the Antec neo power 480 is enough herb for the system? I myself would go for 550w, what do the rest of you think he should go with and why?

id go with at least a 500W PSU so you can have some room for later, what about that 520W OCZ modstream(modular cables like the NEO power)

The antec neo power should be plenty for my one 6800 ultra. I currently have a 19in viewsonic lcd with 16ms responce time, Logitech 5.1 speakers
and mx510 mouse. As for the financing goes, Ive had a 401k for about 7 years. I was able to withdraw 50% of the invested money witch came to
$7300 dollars. Unfortunetly Im not alble to spend it all on my computer because the motor in my suburban went tits up.

Maybe because PCP&C isn't always the best, just the most expensive?

I'd suggest a solid, quiet Enermax over a PCP&C.

They go for premium now because they are antiques? :D Seriously though, if you are going to flash your BIOS or flash EEPROMs on boards you gotta have one.

No, you don't. Not with Abit, at least.

For the mobo bios you might not need a floppy..with most mobo's you still do & its always handy to back up your current bios or to set up raid or sata.. windows xp still only reads from the a drive during instalation. So Thug how many PCP&C have you owned??

Umm...actually PCP&C is really good and trusted. They're experts.

Indeed, they are. That doesn't mean they're the best, just the most expensive.

When you can buy an Enermax 550W super-quiet PSU for $100 and you can buy a PCP&C 510W PSU for $210, you're really just buying the name. I've never seen a bad review for Enermax. I mean, if you're seriously worried about an Enermax dying, you can always just buy a second one in the off-chance that something goes wrong and you'll still be $10 richer than the guy who bought the PCP&C. PCP&C get lots of publicity as great power supplies, but they die, too. I was looking up reviews of Enermax power supplies and I found a forum that had a thread dedicated to failing PCP&C PSUs.

THE TUSSIN THE TUSSIN

P.S. Once you've bought one it's really easy to make up reasons to justify spending twice as much as you could have. Just like with an iPod. I bought an iPod, and now I'd rather have one of the Dell DJs.
