Hi guys,

I really like using something free, like Youtube, to preview albums/artists before I buy them. But that being said, there is a huge gap on what is available. I have a lot of older and rare Death/Heavy/Black metal CD's that I'd love to share on Youtube. I have Googled quite a bit and haven't found anything of value.

I have found how to rip a CD into 1 track using audiograbber. Now I just need to know how to pair that file with the CD cover art to and make a video. (never done it)

If you aren't comfortable posting, please feel free to message me.

You can use aneesoft dvd ripper to rip your cd to the format which YouTube can accept.
Here is the article which has told you how to upload your DVDs to YouTube:http://www.aneesoft.com/tutorials/upload-DVDs-to-YouTube%20.html

Just to let you know, you run the risk of your videos taken down.

Any movie editing software can potentially do this. All you really need is something that can rip the audio (Windows Media Player) and something to add images to it (Windows Movie Maker).

Why is there so much music on Youtube that has been there for years, and mine gets taken down after a week?

They're probably legit uploads? Plus the music industry are more strict on takedowns. Anyhoo, I think this sharing culture concept is overrated. Enjoy it with your friends and family, pass them down to your children. There's no need to 'share' with the whole world property that another entity lawfully owns.

If you notice the others that aren't taken down have this dumb little blurb like, "this isn't mine, I didn't create the music, it is the soul the property of BMI (or whatever label), and I created this fan video with no intent to make any income from it". Yeah, it's boring and dumb, but they seem to stay up.

I've had a LOT of mine taken down even if it had the FCC's definition of "incidental" broadcasting, which is really just music in the background.

Yeah, I had included the whole schpeel.

Oh well, I was just trying to give back... I use YT a lot for listening to new (to me at least) music before I buy. Bandcamp is filling that role pretty well too.
