That's not the one giving me problems but does show that Java RE is enabled in browser, see next post for the one I heed help with...

I have to have Java for my exams (CCNA classes), and if I run the exams without it, I won't be able to do or even see some of the questions. Started last weekend with the release of "51".

What I've already tried:
Removing Java & installing the previous build 1.7.0_45
Removing Java & reinstalling most recent version (instead of updating 1.7.0_45 to 1.7.0_51)
Adding https://assessment.netacad.net to security tab
deleting all browser cookies & saved data (including saved passwords)
Reducing "security" to medium in Java control panel
Tried in Laptop I.E. 11 & Chrome
Tried on both PC's, I.E. 11, & Firefox 26

I received any help from the professor or Cisco.

And YES, I did review the setup procedure located in the Networking Academy FAQ's - though they are currently down as of this post.

Cisco came to the rescue - though their Networking Academy Facebook page

If anyone in the future has this problem, (or if somewhere down the line I reinstall Windows & forget about the fix...) the fix is:
> Control Panel > Java
> Select the Java Security Tab
> Click "Edit Site List" under the Exception Site List section
> Add the following links to the exception list:
https://assessment.netacad.net this is the page the chapter exam's are run from
http://cns.netacad.net this is apparently the page that any Packet Tracer portion of the exam's is hosted from
Optionally, add http://skills.netacad.net this is for the Packet Tracer Environment Assessment tool

I was also advised to reduce the security level slider to Medium if the cns.netacad.net link didn't work, but found it unnecessary.... at least this time around.
