Need help getting my parent's key from their D-Link router, they just bought new PC and it's wireless. I'm already into the settings with the router's IP address I'm just having a hell of a time finding the key. I'm into Security Settings. Thanks.

The key is usually found on the back or bottom of the router....just read the instructions that came with the router.

Assuming this means you've accessed the firmware settings, what exactly do you mean "key"?

I agree...what do you mean by key? You mean the password. If they didn't assign one then they probably used WPS to attach their device(s). Whatever password WPS used should be revealable on the menu. If you mean the WPS PIN it too should be on the bottom of the router label along with the router name and password as Nastyman indicated unless your parents changed it in which case it should be present in the router menu somewhere.

What model # router?

BTW, WPS can be turned on and conveniently used to connect another device. But it should be turned off afterwards for critical security reasons afterwards.
