Bought this not to long back.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6814127748

Its pretty good.

However shortly after some serious price drops happened.

Now i have the option to upgrade my card by returning it and swapping it for something of the same price range.

looking at even the best r9 cards they are all of that price range..

should i return my 760? and pickup an r9? or even a 780?

As long as you have the original packaging and you can accept the risk they may not refund you the original cost at the time of purchase (I dunno what the policy is on this), then sure. But depending on what you're playing and at what resolutions, I'd just get something within the $450 price range at most

How much did you pay for that 760? I'm guessing $310 considering the stock 760 is $250.

The best r9 (the 290X) base price is $550. The 780 is rumored to drop to $500, but I'm not sure how that's in the same price range.

I don't want you to return your card and then realize you won't be able to buy much more GPU than you already have in that price range.

lets say i could return this then pump a little extra into a card to bring my total to around 450..

What card would i want at that price..

And how much better than my 760 would it be.

So I see. That Iron Clad is sweet...return 4 refund w/o penalty by Jan. 31, 2014.

Looks like R9 290 @ $400.

Of course if you wait the 290X's may fall into the $450 range by the end of Jan. esp. post-Christmas/New Years sale.
